What’s on in Lincolnshire this summer: Our pick of the six weeks’ holidays

If you’re staying with us at The Old Granary over the summer holidays, you’ll be pleased to hear that there is plenty happening across Lincolnshire to help you fill your days whilst staying with us.

Whether you’re travelling with little ones, looking for a fun evening out, or simply wanting to make the most of the county’s beautiful outdoor spaces, here are a few of our top picks.

Fun for all the family…

This summer, the holidays are packed with family-friendly activities across the county.

Head to Uncle Henry’s for their award-winning Maize Maze and Secret Garden, enjoy Pirate Day at Lincolnshire Life Museum, or let the little ones burn off some energy at a Funflatable Fun Day!

Plus places like Pink Pig Farm offering plenty of summer fun with reptile days and Lab Rascals, while Doddington’s Wilder programme is offering everything from critter quests to Wilder Wanders.

Music, festivals and summer evenings…

Looking for an evening outing?

Summer evenings in Lincolnshire are full of possibilities, with live music, outdoor events and plenty of places to enjoy the longer days.

Whether it’s Jazz Night at The Grainstore, Classic Ibiza at Burghley House or a film beneath the walls of Lincoln Castle, paired with a tasty meal out, you can’t go wrong!

Gardens, art and the great outdoors…

Flowers blooming, the sun shining… There really is no better time to get outside and explore Lincolnshire!

Don’t miss Sweet Pea Season at Easton Walled Gardens, which runs until the end of this month, and Sculpture at Doddington, where artwork is displayed across the estate right up until September (a must-see if you’re asking us!).

There are also open garden events taking place across the county, giving you the chance to visit some of Lincolnshire’s most beautiful spots such as Bardney Manor.

Sometimes, you don’t need to go anywhere…

While there’s plenty to explore across Lincolnshire, sometimes the nicest days are spent right here.

Step outside your door and you’ll find countryside walks, cycling routes, peaceful views and plenty of places to simply stop and enjoy… a picnic with a view, a quiet corner and a good book, or a slow morning coffee outside.

Sometimes the best thing to do when on holiday is simply switch off.

We can’t wait to welcome you all this summer!
