Manor Farm is currently being farmed by the second and third generation of the same family. Growing potatoes, cereals and sugar beet, the farm has also been part of a successful environmental scheme for the last 15 years, encouraging biodiversity and developing soil health across the farm.
Sisters, Clare and Louise, have both returned to join Paul and Kate Knapton on the family farm after working in London for nearly ten years.
With winter a distant memory we are watching the newly planted potatoes slowly growing in the ground. The weather is slowly getting warmer and we are now looking for a spot of rain for both the spuds and our newly drilled sugar beet plants to grow well throughout the summer. The Oil Seed Rape is now in beautiful yellow flower and we are enjoying our time on the farm!
