Manor Farm is currently being farmed by the second and third generation of the same family. Growing potatoes, cereals and sugar beet, the farm has also been part of a successful environmental scheme for the last 13 years, encouraging biodiversity and developing soil health across the farm.
Sisters, Clare and Louise, have both returned to join Paul and Kate Knapton on the family farm after working in London for nearly ten years.
It’s been a slow start on the farm after an extremely wet winter and early spring, however, the sun is now shining and we are fully drilled up with crops growing in the ground. The Spring Barley has been drilled and all the potatoes have been planted. Check out our facebook page to see a video getting up close and personal on how we go about it potato planting. Now, we just need a drop of rain!
