Manor Farm is currently being farmed by the second and third generation of the same family. Growing potatoes, cereals and sugar beet, the farm has also been part of a successful environmental scheme for the last 13 years, encouraging biodiversity and developing soil health across the farm.
Sisters, Clare and Louise, have both returned to join Paul and Kate Knapton on the family farm after working in Event Management in London for nearly ten years.
Over summer the farm has been its usual hive of activity, with the wheat, barley and oilseed rape harvests going well. After a couple of weeks breather, we are once more in the middle of one of the busiest and most exciting times at the farm, potato harvest. It is a real team effort to ensure the crop we planted in the spring is carefully lifted and boxed before hitting the supermarket shelves.
